Well Day 1 has come and gone! Today we headed to the Kilohana train depot and took a tour around the old sugar plantation. We saw pineapples, mangoes, star fruit, avocados, and cashews all growing in different parts of the plantation...and oh of course sugar cane! We also got to feed some polynesian boars and goats. We then ate lunch at a litlle local place and headed for the beach as Elise was ready for a nap! She slept in her SPF 50 sun tent while Ryan and I took turns going for a swim in the wonderful Pacific Ocean right near the Marriot in Lihue. We e
Well...Elise is growing up fast! Two teeth have broken the gum and are getting taller everyday. She is a pro-sitter, eater and traveler now. We just got back from her second roundtrip airplane ride. This time we went just to So Cal to see Uncle Tim and Aunt Jen, Grandma and Grandpa and to check out Palm Springs! Mommy had a seminar in the desert and Grandma Kuhlman came along to watch Elise for the week. The ladies all had fun, swimming in the pool one night and eating Kix and sweet potato chunks! We are all home safely for a week and then we head
Today mommy noticed Elise's first tooth ...she was gnawing on some plastic and I could hear something...and sure enough you can just feel the tooth breaking through!

We had a great view from the sh
Well it's been a long time since we've updated everyone! We are all well and our Elise is sure getting big! She is rolling over, almost sitting up and showing more and more personality! See additional notes under "read more".

It actually went very well, cleaner and more pleasant than I expected. Elise had about 5 bites of rice cereal mixed with breastmilk and skillfully swallowed it down, no pushing it out with her tongue. Daddy also was dying to give her some veggies, so Elise had about 3 bites of avocado. She made a bit of a face for this, but gladly took more! Also Elise drank some water from t
Well summer is for sure here! All the kids are graduating this week and the weather is hot! Today it was 96 degrees out, and Elise was not happy since we have no A/C...so we played in the water, see below. More photos are posted in a new album for 5mos, so check them out!
