Snow in Yellowstone!

Well the first few days here in Yellowstone were beautiful, 80s and nice and sunny.  Then on Wednesday a storm came in and we got slushing snow in the park...rain at our timeshare, some snow too!  So tuesday we beat the storm and headed to Old Faithful and enjoyed the time there rather than rushing to another site.

Yellowstone is beautiful!

We started off our drive to Yellowstone with a detour to the Lewis and Clark Caverns where we hiked 3/4 mile up to some awesome caves.  Elise enjoyed the trip lots too and frequently commented "Wow!" or "Whoa!" when we saw new stalagtites and stalagmites!  It was a fun 2 hour side trip...the rest of the day was filled with driving into West Yellowstone and checking into our new timeshare there.  Monday ...

Arrived to Montana safely!

Hey everyone!  We've made it safe to Yellowstone and are having lots of fun so far!  Elise did great on our flight and even made some other fliers impressed with how happy she was!  Our first stop was to the Denver airport where we met cousin Ella for the first time!  We had about 2 hours to hang out with Tim and Jen and Ella and show-off Elise's new steps! She is walking everywhere after only walking a few weeks!  Then we took a little plane to Bozeman, Montana where we spent the night.

She did it! 10+ steps at once!

Well yesterday Elise realized she no longer needed to hold onto something to walk!  She now gets up off hte floor nad walks several steps to get what she wants rather than jus crawling toward it.  Today she got her first head knocking and has a bruise on her forehead to prove it.  See recent photos at the picasa link...walking video to come soon!

Almost walking

Elise is getting more and more confident with her steps. She is almost walking on her own...she'll walk pretty well with one finger, but prefers two hands to help guide her along. See some great new photos we just took at a friend's house.

Sorry we've been absent

Hey everyone!  Sorry its been awhile since we've posted anything.  We are all doing well, just busy.  Mommy is working about 3.5 days (2.5 days + one weekend day at open houses or showing homes) and trying to keep up with little Elise who is almost walking.  Daddy is really getting ready for racing season and has a new racecar, a truck and trailer for towing it and all kinds of new goodies to occupy his time.  We hope to as a family travel to Laguna Seca this coming Thursday to see daddy take out the racecar for the first time (the daily driver BMW gets to stay ho

Happy Birthday Elise!

Well, can you believe its been a year? Wow! It quite fun to read back through all these blog posts and see how much our little Elise has changed and what mommy is worried about! We had Elise's birthday party this past Saturday, though she is not officially one until Jan 11th. The party was a blast though Elise got a bit overwhelmed at cake time and didn't really taste much cake. We did get a few shots of cake smears on the face to add to our album though, so see the picasa link on the left.

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone is well...we are preparing for our first Wellman family celebration. See Elise helping with the gifts!

Elise sprouts her 7th tooth!

Well yesterday Elise kept biting my fingers, which is unusual for her. I could not figure out what was bothering her, but then her standard teething sign of pulling her ear showed up too! So mommy looked, and yep, tooth #7 on its way in. It's on the bottom left next to the two already down there...so maybe before her 1st birthday, she'll have a complete set of 8, 4 top, 4 bottom!
